Saturday 6/11 Barn-raising is a full day event at Amazon's Campus in South Lake Union, Seattle, WA and is organized by the Seattle Drupal User Group (@SeaDUG). The goal is to construct an operational Drupal 7 website for the Seattle Genealogical Society, a non-profit organization. Construction and theming will be divided between teams working in parallel as much as possible. Content will be provided by a client team. In addition to the barn-raising, there will be video screen capture and note taking for training material on Drupal Kata.
Sunday 6/12 Barn-raising followup will be for training, documentation, and demonstrations. One demonstration will show how to install Drupal on a stack of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. Training will include site administration and content management. Training will focus on getting the SGS web committee prepared and will be of interest to those learning Drupal. Drupalista volunteers are needed to help with the training and documentation.
Project management is documented on DrupalKata.org http://drupalkata.com/sgs/
